Hasse on the album: "Little did we know that this would turn out to be our last album. 'One Night Only - Live' was recorded at Katalin in our hometown Uppsala (Sweden) on November 2nd, 2024. This was an exclusive night and a special show where we performed our latest album 'Eternal Snapshots' in it's entirety and a second set of songs taken from the rest of our catalogue. This album contains of almost one hour of music and is a compilation of both sets.

For us making a live album is very much about capturing the connection between the audience and the band. On this recording you will feel like you're in the middle of the crowd, listening to a band giving it all they got. So crank up the volume and enjoy 'One Night Only - Live'!

“The idea of forming a new band started to take shape in 2008” Hasse recalls, and so a year later in 2009, HFMC (Hasse Fröberg & Musical Companion) started to play and prepare for what later became their debut album "FuturePast" (2010). After several shows in both Sweden and also abroad, the band entered the studio to record “Powerplay”, released in 2012. The album was followed by shows and festivals in both Europe and the US.

2015 saw the release of the self-titled album HFMC, which resulted in more extensive touring. When the band finally returned to their hometown of Uppsala, Sweden they recorded the show for the Live DVD/Album “No Place like Home” released in 2017. In 2019, HFMC announced the release of brand new music in form of the ambitious opus Parallel Life, including the 22-minute title track. The band embarked on tour initially performing on Prog at Sea (a festival at sea between Oslo and Frederikshavn) and carried on playing until the pandemic put a stop to it all.

In late 2020, preparations and song-writing began for the next album release and the group decided to once again call in co-producer and engineer Petrus Königsson to oversee the recording-process. Along with a strong and solid set of songs the band entered NEVO studios to start work on what would become “We Are The Truth”, released in 2021. In June 2024 the release of the bands sixth studio-album “Eternal Snapshots” followed. A concept album that deals with questions such as how we become who we are, is everything predetermined, is destiny involved in our lives? The title “Eternal Snapshots” reflects over the fact that new fate of lives is being born every second and here we get to follow two of them. It turned out to be the last studio-recordings of the band. In 2024 the band performed live at several festivals plus a special night in their home-town Uppsala.

The show in Katalin & All That Jazz on 24 November was recorded for their second live-release after "No Place Like Home". The results end up on the upcoming live-album "One Night Only - Live". The album is available for pre-order now!

The band will see farewell to their fans at 2 final live-shows in April 2027:

  1. 3 April 2027 - ArtRock Festival XV, Reichenbach, Germany
  2. 16 April 2027 – Katalin, Uppsala, Sweden
