REALISEA
In April 2026, Realisea will release their third full album, described by the band as "Realisea – the next level", under the title 'Scratch'. Later in 2026, Realisea will take to the stage to bring the album to life in a series of live performances.

With 'Scratch', Realisea presents its third studio album and clearly demonstrates how far the band has evolved since their sopomore album 'Fairly Carefree' (2022). Over the past years, Realisea has grown into a seven-piece band, strengthened by the addition of second guitarist Jos de Jong. This expansion has had a major impact on the sound: richer, more layered and more confident than ever before.
'Scratch' is the natural next step in the band’s musical journey. The melodic progressive rock compositions sound more mature and powerful, featuring frequent and expressive dual-guitar harmonies. As fans have come to expect, multi-layered, harmonious vocals play a central role, with lead and backing vocals shared between Mary.o, Jos Uffing and Brian de Graeve, adding depth and variation throughout the album.
The album is unified by the theme 'Scratch' - a word that appears on many levels. Scratches are all around us: the small marks life leaves behind, but also the great scratch of our time — the world itself. Fatigue, polarization, climate denial, growing political hostility and ongoing wars all form the backdrop to this record. Scratch is Realisea’s musical reflection on a world showing its cracks.
With 'Scratch', you get everything you expect from Realisea — and more: strong songwriting, rich arrangements, emotional depth and a band operating at the height of its creative powers.

Realisea began as an alternative symphonic rock project and was formed around Brian de Graeve, frontman and founder of progressive rock band Silhouette. Over the course of five years, the project has evolved into a seven-piece band with the following lineup:
- Brian de Graeve - Vocals, acoustic guitars, keyboards
- Marjolein de Graeve - Vocals, flute
- Rindert Bul - Electric guitars
- Jos de Jong - Electric guitars
- Patrick Verheij - Bass guitar
- Christophe Rapenne - Keyboards
- Jos Uffing - Drums, Vocals
The band has released 2 albums so far: Their long awaited debut album ‘Mantelpeace’ was released in April 2020. Its successor entitled ‘Fairly Carefree’ was released in October 2022. These albums feature guest musicians who are highly regarded in the prog scene, such as Ton Scherpenzeel (Kayak) and Michel St-Père (Mystery).
Touring in support of Fairly Carefree took the band beyond Dutch borders, with performances in Germany’s Reichenbach and an appearance at the Summer’s End Festival in the United Kingdom. That Realisea has not gone unnoticed is reflected in their No. 307 ranking in the Prog Top 1000, with only Kayak and Ayreon ranking higher among Dutch acts.
In April 2026, Realisea will release their third full album under the title 'Scratch'. The album will be premiered live on 11 April 2026 @ StarSound Studios, Utrecht (NL). Later in 2026, Realisea will take to the stage further to bring the album to life in a series of live performances.
Realisea’s music is often compared to that of Renaissance, Mostly Autumn, All About Eve, Magenta, Genesis, and Marillion.
