Pallas - The Midas Touch [the recordings 1995-2007]

Nine disc clamshell box set comprising 8 CDs and a video Blu-ray disc. Featuring the albums and concert videos released by Pallas between 1998 and 2007. Hailing from Aberdeen, the roots of Pallas went back as far as 1974, but by the early 1980s they were at the vanguard of the so-called Neo Prog movement which had emerged in the UK. A UK tour with Marillion brought the band to the attention of EMI Records, for whom they recorded two classic albums. After losing a recording contract following the release of the album 'The Wedge', Pallas disbanded, but after a period of lying dormant they re-emerged in 1998 with a line-up of Alan Reed (vocals), Graeme Murray (bass, guitar, vocals), Niall Matthewson (guitar), Ronnie Brown (keyboards) and Colin Fraser (drums) and a fine new album, 'Beat The Drum', which was welcomed warmly by fans. That release saw the band embark on a new phase of their career.
